Daniel Roberts has over 25 years experience in Innovation, Consulting, Sustainability, XBRL, Internal Audit and Information Systems Audit, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, and Information Technology. Daniel established his own risk, governance and internal audit consultancy in 1995, and was Grant Thornton’s US National Director of Assurance Innovation from February 2001 through the beginning of 2008. He has focused on CSR and Sustainability issues for the past four years, across the range of CSR activities.

XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) – two term Chairman of the XBRL US Steering Committee 2005 – 2007. Represented the United States on the XBRL International Steering Committee.

He is the Concept creator and project manager of an integrated, Internet based Enterprise Risk Manager, Control Self-Assessment and Legislative Compliance application, founded on the concepts of COSO. The system allowed for the documentation of a system of internal control, linking responsibilities to individuals, and linking each compliance element to full documentation (controls or legislation).

Richard Anderson
is a Governance Risk and Assurance Consultant. Until recently he was a partner at a Big-5 accounting practice. He was formerly a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led the Strategic Risk Services (SRS) Practice in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He is a founder director of Corporate Risk Group, a Governance and Risk Management consultancy, advising FTSE100 and equivalent private and public sector clients and has recently established Richard Anderson & Associates.

Richard is a Chartered Accountant who trained with Coopers & Lybrand, where he became a partner in 1993. He has a background in financial audit and due diligence, but began to specialise in risk management in 1996.

Richard joined RSM Robson Rhodes in 2006 and left following that firm’s merger with Grant Thornton to set up Richard Anderson & Associates.

Richard is a member of the BSi Committees on Risk Management (BS31100 – Guide of Practice for Risk Management) and also on Corporate Governance. He is a member of the LSCA’s Panel on Business Governance and Ethics. Richard is a frequent speaker on risk management and often appears in print. He was an inaugural visiting fellow at the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation at the London School of Economics.
